The Letter

I grasped this letter,
A letter I got from you...
It spoked of words that I wanted
Words I wanted to hear...

I only saw you briefly the next day,
You seemed so happy...
After that,
You vanished for a long time...

All I had to remember you off was
This one letter...
This letter which contained words
Words that were only meant for me...

Many years had passed,
I still had you in my mind...
I'm not clinging onto the past,
I knew we'll meet someday...

Finally,we met...
You didn't seem happy...
I asked,all you said was "Its nothing..."
I wondered whether its true...

I received your final letter...
It spoke of all that would wound me...
Tears spilled on this letter...
The letter spoke of you leaving me...

I knew good news won't last long,
yet I still worried what bad news I'll receive...
I'll hold onto the letters...
